Shine are delighted to announce the continuation of our funding partnership with the Bon Secours Hospital Cork. Since 2015 the Bon Secours Community Initiative Fund has funded the Social Skills for Autism App series which has been hugely successful both nationally and internationally with over 50,000 users. With the support of the Bon Secours Hospital Cork it has been possible to make the first two apps in the series available free of charge.
With the continuing support of the Bon Secours Community Initiative Fund the third app in the series will also be available free. The new app is titled “The Cosmic Classroom” and will focus on helping children with autism to excel at school and in the school environment.
Commenting on the announcement of funding for the new app, Eamon O’Donovan – Chairperson of Shine said “We are delighted with the renewed commitment of the Bon Secours Hospital Cork to the Social Skills for Autism App series. Their continuing support will allow us to reach many thousands more children and families affected by autism in the future. Our partnership was recently endorsed by winning the 2016 Chambers Ireland Community Partnership Award and we are very grateful to Harry Canning and his team at Bon Secours Hospital Cork for their unwavering support of this project”.
