Laura Regan is a Chartered Educational Psychologist with
the British Psychological Society and currently lecturing
in University of Limerick in the Education and Professional
Studies Department.
Laura specialises in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and works
in a private capacity carrying out diagnostic assessment
and evaluations on children who are deemed to have Pervasive
Developmental Disorders including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome
and PDD-NOS. Laura has previously worked on a consultancy
basis with Irish Autism Action, 'Solas' Diagnostic and Assessment
Centre in Dublin and Irish Progressive Association for Autism/SHINE
in Cork.
Laura carries out psychometric testing on pupils with Special
Educational Needs and uses a range of test measures that
look at children with educational, social, emotional and
behavioural difficulties.
Her reports and recommendations are accepted by the Department
of Education as well as the Health Service Executive.
